Narrow

The little back roads around us are pretty scary places at the moment. There has been major road repairs going on around Kirkby Thore and for the past 5 or 6 weeks the A66 has been closed over the whole weekend. It makes for interesting journeys, as people try to get from Appleby to Penrith without using this major road. 

We know all the back roads very well, but they are now being used by people who don't know them. They don't know where the passing places are, where the dangerous bends are, etc. It doesn't help that the roads are covered in leaves. Hopefully this is the last weekend.
