A soft day

I love that Irish weather expression and it certainly fitted today - a steady dampness , low grey clouds and the odd more intense rain shower.  

I used it to good effect catching up on constituency work after a long and useful phone conversation in the morning with my portfolio colleague, Graeme Dey.  

But I did have time to walk away from my desk from time to time, not least  to the side window of the study, which looks up to the stream and waterfall which, with water on the  glass , gave a "soft" view too.
