Sunrise.....

....rippled through the sky as she peeked between the clouds, all was calm and just a tad chilly, 4C just after 6am.

The beach was deserted while I captured the beauty of the morning, a changing sky, light coming and going, birds taking flight - I loved every moment.

And then some time playing with my shadow, long legs, a body reaching as far as the sand dunes, all kinds of poses and simply just being a bit daft! Just as well the beach was deserted!! By the time I left at 9.30am my legs weren't quite so long.

And then a wander by the estuary, many, many birds were in residence. Numerous amount of Black Swans, some Canada Geese, spoonbills, godwits, shags, pied stilts, ducks of various kinds, terns in copious amounts, oystercatchers, wyrbills, banded dotterels, gulls of various kinds - oh so much choice, never seen so much activity, think they must be feeding on whitebait.

And splashes of pink daisies were dotted amongst the tussocks, so very pretty.

Some shots in extra's to give you a feel of my few hours at the beach this morning - it was fun.

Even better a beautiful calm, warm day followed, 23C at 4.30pm - bbq weather!
