In the category of "you never know what you'll see".....found this guy over at Bird Key Park, just there with his wife and this sculpture.  His name is Dave Skaggs and he's going to have a show of his sculptures made entirely of recycled materials at Historic Spanish Point in November and December.  This one he titled "Red Tide Raptor" because he made it completely from shells, fish heads, fish bones, horseshoe crabs, and just about anything he could find on the beach dead from the scourge of the red tide here in Sarasota.  Truly amazing.  I think I have to go to his show to see what else he has created!
