Manchester

We woke at 6 and were packed up and away by 6.30. Had breakfast in a McDonald's just past Kings Lynn and a coffee break on the M62 not too far from our campsite. We arrived at 12. Down a long dirt track like most scout campsites are. A lively location with loads of woodland and a big open field. Just us. We met 'Ann' who immediately left us in charge of her campsite.

We put our tent up, sat and had lunch in the sun and
then drove over to Salford to pick up Mollie. From there our first ever trip into Manchester city centre. Limited on time we drive in and parked. That was the most expensive 3 hours parking ever at £20!!!!! Anyway, we mooched around the shops. Henry bought a replacement watch as his birthday one broke (he got a full refund!) then we walked up to the cathedral which is where I took this photo.

We drove Mollie home and now we've driven back to the campsite, picking up another McDonald's for tea on our way!! It's dark and quite chilly but I have lots of layers. I think I'll be asleep by 9
