Diary of an Edinburgher

Porty!

Got a text from Janet about 9am, suggesting a visit to Porty, which had been vaguely mentioned yesterday. Yes! Good idea... better get up and get going! Which we did. I skipped the gym, JR decided to go later, and we got organised in double quick time. Then a text from Janet to say it was cloudy, she'd changed her mind, she'd go later...

But we were in full Porty mode, and insisted, so we picked her up and off we went. Calm and warm(ish) at the beach, we had a walk, the dogs had a frolic, Archie went paddling, and then we came back to the wee caravan for the best (properly crispy) bacon baps and the best flat whites in town. And, of course, a liver muffin for the dogs. In fact, so good was the flat white, that I had a second one. Unheard of.

Back home, and JR went to the gym, but Archie and I got the fire on and relaxed on the sofa.

We popped down to see Christine’s renovation progress. And such progress there has been - mind you, it's a month since we've seen it. Looking good and the worst of it over. Her (Polish) builders have been wonderful, the boss is coming to look at our kitchen job next week. Christine has everything still away in boxes, so we had Prosecco in mugs. Tastes just the same!
