Cycling in to work this morning a car driver yelled abuse at me through his open window.
It made me happy to know that the steps I had taken to ensure I was visible enough to avoid accidents were adequate. Naturally enough that meant that I was not invisible enough to avoid malice, but I think that generally most people are not malicious, and would be glad to avoid accidents whenever possible.

During my lunch break I lay on my back in the long grass beside the river in the sunshine, contemplating how happy I am. I almost fell asleep!

I concluded that it does not take very much at all to make me happy.
