Frost patterns on the extension roof this morning

Early blip for me this evening. We have been invited to our friends'  just up the road, for dinner. We have been trying to find a date for us to coincide for awhile! 
The same thing is to be repeated with some more close friends tomorrow evening. Different venue of course!  Everything comes at once at times! 
    There was a frost this morning at 2C and when I went outside to get the laundry basket from the garage ready to empty the washing machine in the kitchen, I could see my breath like wisps of steam. The first time this year that has happened. 
       The day became warmer bit by bit and the birds were busy on the feeders. 
I took a photo of the blue-tits in the apple tree after they had got their sunflower seeds. They hold them them in their clawed feet to eat them. Much harder to catch the goldfinches! 
     There are a couple of photos in extras, along with one of the still scrambling nasturtiums in the side border.
