Anniversary

Eight years ago on this day, we were still reeling from Mr. M's mom's death less than two weeks prior when this pitiful creature found her way to the underside of our covered porch. How did she know to come here? My days following the discovery of her was spent trying to figure out a way to keep her fed and warm and eventually capture her to bring her inside from the sub zero temperatures.

She has now been with us longer than her grim life of being orphaned at two weeks old and nearly starving before she was found, only to spend the next seven years in shelters and foster homes and eventually our alley, after escaping her last foster home. Even so, she is still a bit nuts and emotionally fragile but she is and will always be the small furry love of my life.

We are nearing the end of the boxed set of Spooks and it's just as well. After the lovely Adam Carter 'left' I thought it was over...until the fabulous Lucas North arrived. Now that he's gone and the irritatingly gorgeous Erin Watts has arrived, I just don't feel the same about it.

Other than a neighbor borrowing the angle grinder and the former neighbor in Texas being a toad and rubbing their nice weather in via text messages, not much else happened today.
