Anhinga Juvenile
We spent a terrific morning in the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge, just fifteen minutes from the city. This young bird contorted himself constantly on his high perch. (An adult male would have had black plumage.) We were on the Laurel Hill Wildlife drive, and had over fifty species. I'll leave it at that--it's late, and we move on early tomorrow. The map is marked precisely, with the camera's GPS.
