Crunchy walk

We took a longer loop from Silverado today to enjoy the fall leaves. On the outermost arc of the journey, my mom said she had to go to the bathroom. Uh oh. She got happily distracted when we ran into a family of three girls and some boys off in the field picking "moshrooms." The man had a slight accent. My mom said, "What?" He said it again. She repeated her question. I thought, we could be here all day. I said, "They're small things that grow in the ground." The man said "thanks" and we all went on our way. We made it back in time.
