Beautiful.

It is getting late for fresh rose buds but this one is perfect, shame the rest of the garden isn't. I've just started working in this garden and have been trying to get the lawns in better condition after years of neglect and, recently, the debris from re thatching the cottage.

Today I discovered Chafer Grubs in the lawn which means the grass is having its roots eaten away. Can't really do much more now, nematodes will have to be applied in the spring because it is getting to cold for them to work now.

Had a lovely meal this evening, lamb shoulder cooked to perfection by a lovely lady in her slow cooker.
