Kirk Closures Coming

A fine enough day, a few sunny spells, but mostly cloudy.  A fairly gentle breeze. 

A quiet day in the museum, but I was kept busy clearing away last night's event.  Neighbour Cathy is in hospital just now, so I popped in to see her after work.  I went down to mam's after tea.  Sister Julie is down from Unst, and the lasses too.  Me and mam also went for a walk with Sammy.  Feet up by the fire tonight. 

The Shetland kirks have been making news across the isles this last few days, and not for good reasons, they are facing closures.  20 out of the 31 Church of Scotland kirks are due to close, which is a real shame for villages and parishes.  They are well underused now, so it probably makes sense.  As long as the old buildings go to a good use instead.  This is the Gulberwick Kirk, due to close in the near future.
