Castlesardo

It was forecast heavy rain all day where we are staying so we decided to head to the west coast, where the weather looked better. We got massively lost twice in the mountains which added another hour to an already long journey. Luckily the scenery was amazing but Mr EG had his grumpy head on so wouldn't stop for photos! Didn't help his mood that we had to listen to Barbie Girl and Gangnam style several times to keep the kids happy!

We arrived at Castlesardo in time for lunch on the beach. The kids played nicely, with each other and a little Dutch girl and me and Mr EG read and snoozed. Then we walked up eleventy billion steps to the castle for incredible views. Home late. Had several expensive but rubbish meals so cooked for ourselves and saved €80 and food was hot, not burnt and tasted good. Can't ask for more than that!
