Saved for an emergency . . .
By Can Carrier.
Cheers mate.
Some, considerable, time ago; one of his comments said:-
"You have educated me. I thought it was ginger. And I thought Persimmons were a kind of citrus."
NOT, I hasten to add, that I have remembered; I was just, as usual, in search of a different, badly tagged, still unfound, entry when I found a Blip of mine featuring Turmeric and remembered I'd not planted this Ginger root.
You can very clearly see how long it's been unplanted from:-
A) The degree of dehydration.
B) The amount of fresh growth since purchase. Both the green growth and the wee nubbin it grows from.
It dies in the greenhouse soil overwinter; mainly due to the heater only working on the top 1/2 of the G/house atmosphere - i.e. the staging.
SO - Wain brave - pot it and keep pot on staging. EARACHE!
Eerr, sorry - Eureka!!!
7-05-19. guess which pillock forgot to put it out on staging?
Back "upstream" to December.
