Fungus Foray

This morning we joined a fungus foray with our U3A Natural History group. The best thing about it was that I got a blip. The worst part was that the ‘experts’, whenever they saw a good specimen, used a knife to cut the fungus away from where it was growing. I know this is what they do in order to keep records but it upset me. I felt that they were destroying the ecosystem. It also meant there were no good specimens in situ that could be photographed.
