Feeding the Babies
Ma and Pa Blackbird are spending all day taking food to their young ones. They usually stop for a breather on the deck rail before flying to the nest hidden in the jasmine that is growing over the arch outside my bedroom.
Those babies have got very noisy and I suspect they are very close to being fledged.
I tried to see in the nest from a ladder but couldnt manage it without disturbing them so gave up on the idea. They will appear on the deck in due course and sit by the apple there, patiently waiting for someone to put some in their beaks.
Father Blackbird is in the extras with his mouthful of worms.
