An ex-Chimney

The back of a house is often not quite as perfect as the front, especially when there's no garden at the back. At least that is how it is with The Red House.
I took this picture to show the chimney specialist, who is only open a couple of evenings a week. Our chimney was swept away as the very deep snow slid off the roof in the spring. Fortunately the chimney went up through the overhanging bit of the roof, rather than the important "keeping the house dry" bit of the roof.
The chimney specialist had left a note on the door saying he was on holiday until next week - typical!
I seem to have some sort of bug. It doesn't feel serious but I've so many layers of clothes on I can hardly stand up and I'm still cold so I'm off to my bed!
