Rigs in Pollok Park

There are at least eight drilling rigs along the main drive in Pollok Park at the moment. Scottish Water signs on the fencing around each one.

It's all a bit of a muddy mess, and certainly restricting access to runners, cyclists and walkers on what is a very popular local walk.

No idea what is going on, and even with a bit of internet surfing this evening, no clues. Any locals know anything?
