At Lola's

I still haven't got round to putting pictures up on blip for the period that we were in Italy. There may be a window of opportunity in the next few days whilst waiting for paint to dry.
It was a holiday in 2 parts: the first was with almost 20 members of the family gathered together on the shores of Lago Lugano in Northen Italy to cheer on my sister who had qualified for the Gran Forno bike race by virtue of becoming the national champion, in her age group, of her adopted country-Australia. The only difficulty was that a few weeks before we gathered together she had to climb off her bike for a heart procedure, so her race was off. And even more sadly, so was her trip to Italy.but, having booked accommodation and travel arrangements and gone to Italian classes, we were not to be put off, even though the Queen Bee was absent.

4 of us flew to Milan airport with our bikes and made our way up to Lago Lugano. Our first night was a bandb with Lola who was more than delightful. We arrived just as the restaurants were shutting, but she insisted on cooking us a lovely meal.
