Doing without

We had been informed we might be without electricity today and we were.  That was a surprise to the folks building a new school across the road.  When I passed one of them was on his phone scratching his head looking at a generator kind of machine.  I did the neighbourly thing and let him know what was going on.  We had reminders throughout the day of the significance of electricity - one of us even tried to charge her phone!  We survived with only a little inconvenience.  The orchid came in blipping handy at the end of the day.
