Life In Wales

Wet!

We've had more rain today - it's been that awful drizzly stuff, that gets you really wet! So we took Alison for lunch to L'Accent de Catalan, the local tapas bar which I've mentioned in an earlier blip. One half of the buildling is a shop and the other is the restaurant.

After we'd eaten we went into the shop to buy some wine, and they had a wine tasting event. The producer was from Perpignan in France which is very close to the Spanish border, and it was really interesting talking to him. He is actually Belgian, but he said he had always had a dream of making wine and after he got divorced he 'emmigrated' to the South of France and bought a vineyard. He only produces a small amount of wine each year, and L'Accent de Catalan is one of only two outlets in Belgium who he distributes too - it was very good!

After that, Alan went home and us girls headed into Waterloo for a 'rendez-vous' with a few other friends at Godiva for a glass of champagne, followed by a bit of shopping.

I also had to go to Brasserie du Couvent to collect the Christmas menu for our ladies night out in a couple of weeks. The Brasserie is on a pedestrian street lit by fairy lights which I was going to blip earlier in the week, but chose the Church instead. Tonight I was amused by the tables outside - I think it's a little cold, if not a bit wet to be eating outdoors!

Anyway, it's now time for Strictly followed by X Factor - have a nice Saturday night!
