Happy Birthday
I spent the afternoon in Liverpool, with my sister and three of the four sisters who are our second cousins. We’d come together from across the UK to celebrate this lovely lady’s 86th birthday.
Eileen is my Dad’s cousin, so my first cousin once removed, but has always been Aunty Eileen. Her mum and my Grandma were sisters, both were born in the 1890’s, the two oldest of the seven surviving children. I think they’d be delighted that their grandchildren are still meeting up over 120 years later, to celebrate the birthday and the joy of being family.
Originally there were eight of us, all girls, but the youngest of my cousins now lives in South Africa with her family and my middle sister died 9 years ago, we missed them.
Family love is so important and very special.
Happy birthday and many more Aunty Eileen.
