Japanese Garden
The Japanese Garden at Washington Arboretum is going through one of its yearly peak times with the fall color. It is a lovely day so it was quite crowded, along with our group of gals. Even crowded, it's another Seattle gem.
My neighbor suggested a visit and invited several of her friends so there were 5 of us altogether. I only had my iPhone so I didn't get any really good photos of the collection of stunning maples they have there, but this one shows the pond and you can get an idea of the layout. The pond is stocked with massive orange, blue, and/or cream colored koi fish, and there were turtles out on the rocks, sunning themselves (and doing turtle yoga, we decided).
Add to that a good walk we had at the dog park with Salem today and I'm feeling my legs from yesterday's hike.
My son is coming to stay with us for awhile and is driving here today. I am beyond excited to see him.
