4th Place

Morning walk with the boys, packing and breakfast. And then Helle and I met by the car at 7.45 and started packing everything.

We drove to the venue and enjoyed the individual finals - 10 Heelwork and 10 Freestyle routines. 

The boys had a walk in the break and at 2.30 pm, we were ready for the prize giving ceremony. 

The Danish Team had enjoyed the competition, had fun together, but never really thought much about the scores.... We had looked enough to know we wouldn't win, but we hadn't compared our scores to the other countries to see we would place...

So this is a surprised and happy Danish Heelwork To Music Team, who just realized that they are the 4th best team in the world! 
The European Championship has participants from all over the world, but has to be held in an European country. 

And then later that same team got a bit disappointed when we found out that we were only 0.5 points from a place on the podium! Nah really - we are happy and proud. Gollum's first international top placing with the team. 

We said good bye to all our friends and started packing the car with all our stuff from the hall, which was challenging - especially because I got a lot of extra dog food from the Japanese team, who could not take their's home with them on the plane. 

We left the hall at 5 pm.... and drove directly into heavy traffic. We had 500 km to drive, but we did not arrive at the hotel in Alsfeld in Germany until 11.30 pm. We were exhausted.
