Sand on the road

Drove down to Devon this morning - can't remember such bad driving conditions as I found on the M3! Heavy rain, masses of spray, 100yds visibility, lots of surface water and a 50mph speed limit!

Before turning off to my friends' house I drove on down to Exmouth, thinking I could eat my lunch sandwich on the seafront. Couldn't find any change for the meter, but maybe the Devon parkies don't work on Sundays!

They must have had a big storm recently as the whole esplanade and seafront was covered in sand; a fun job for someone to put it all back on the beach - miles of it!

Not impressed with the Devon weather - dull, drizzly and chilly!
