Castle in the Mist
What a day! An awful lot of organisation and preparation for the ‘planting for the Future’ initiative between the rangers and education team took place last week and early this morning. The local school were sending thirty children to collect tree seeds and then pot up 150 pots, each with two seeds. And then a water main burst in the village, closing the school and preventing the children from walking in. The rangers went round the trees collecting all the seeds they had previously ensured were there this morning and then My fabulous ladies potted them all! all 150 pots and remaining soil and seeds are now in the trailer and will have to stay there until after half term, as the burst water main will take a week to fix!
At the same time the school coming from Streatham got held up, eventually arriving at 11:30 - one and a half hours late! The other team managed to shorten and deliver two tours, two workshops and lunch for 60 in the reduced time!
What a team!
