Vaguely Marvellous

Blowing in the Wind

I was up and off on the train to London where I met up with Dinah and Juliette and we drove up to Haddenham. After some shenanigans trying to get onto site, we made the idiotic mistake of opening the entrance in the 40 mph winds, subsequently turning the sturdy windproof tent into a very large kite. Dinah and I hung on for dear life, just about keeping it to the ground, while Juliette did it back up again. Learning by doing, my friends, right there.

We spent the rest of the evening preparing for the arrival of 60 17 year olds, who duly arrived at about 10.30, put up their tents and spent the evening round the campfire. We left them to it.
