Nighttime Segway
Today started with a walk around making sure we hadn’t missed anything, popped in a few shops, even found Hamleys and inside it had a full size carousel I’d go as far to say that it was better than the London one.
We then stopped for a drink in a lovely courtyard which was also a great suntrap and the food looks amazing so I think a meal in there before we go home tomorrow is a must!
We then headed down to the river and hired a peddlo for an hour right by Charles bridge it was lovely sat on the river in the sunshine!
All that peddling made us need some lunch and after lunch I wanted to try a trdelník which is a dough like cone filled with ice cream and different toppings they are really popular here and everyone is walking around eating them, so I ordered strawberry and ice cream and Paul had a king which had mini brownies, salted caramel and ice cream. The ice cream was lovely but I wasn’t keen on the cone even though that’s supposed to be the best bit!
Tonight we decided to do a nighttime Segway across the other side of the bridge from where we were staying as Segway’s are banned in the old town area and near to the castle due to a petition signed by locals as they were causing to many accidents in the narrow cobbles streets. So the tour took us through parks and up to a viewing point so you could see all over Prague and our guide pointed out buildings and gave us some history. He then took us to a stadium with an empty car park and a track marked out and said we can practice and then try and beat his time around the track, we didn’t but it was fun to be able to go fast.
From been up so high by time we got back I was freezing so we found a restaurant and I tried beef goulash which is basically beef stew and it was lovely and warmed me up along with a mulled wine!
Another fab day in Prague!
