Poppies: Wave

SATURDAY

A 10 km run this morning and then a rendezvous with Harriet at Pizza Express in Cheadle in order to hand over some theatre tickets and took the opportunity to visit the Imperial War Museum North at Salford Quays. 

We hadn't bargained for the traffic chaos caused by the Rugby Super League Grand Final which was being held just round the corner at Old Trafford.

Saturday's blip is Wave  - a sweeping arch of bright red poppy heads suspended on towering stalks. It's the final part of the 14-18 NOW exhibition.

Earlier in the week I blipped it's sister installation Weeping Window at the IWM in London.

Wave is at Manchester until 25 November and Weeping Window in London until 18 November.
