Castle Dairy

Today's the day ………………………. to taste

Rather a special day for Will and I today - our 45th wedding anniversary.

So to mark the occasion, we took ourselves off to the wonderful Castle Dairy  Restaurant in Kendal - for their Prestige Tasting Menu accompanied by what they call a 'wine flight'.  We worked our way through 10 separate courses, each one lovingly presented and every mouthful delicious - accompanied by an appropriate wine.  This was Course No 7 - 'Roasted venison loin, baked swede, red wine, mustard'  and the wine was a Rioja Vega reserva, 2013.


It was a gourmet delight and the perfect place to celebrate this special occasion ………………………...
