Royal London hospital

This is a pic of the old building of the Royal London hodpital which was founded in 1740. Fortunately this building is now closed and my mum is in the new building just next door. Her op was scheduled for 8h30 this morning and was predicted to last around 5 hours. The surgeon finally called around 2 to annonce that all had gone well. We were able to see Mum this evening, still in the recovery area, full of tubes and constant monitoring but in surprisingly good spirits . And most important for her, no need for a stoma.

Sorry, this has been a bit long, but has been an emotional day. We will see what tomorrow brings but feeling quite relieved and positive for the mo.
