postcards from far away

Snowy

One of the things I love about blip is when people introduce us to their pets. I'm a great animal lover but unfortunately my animals are no longer with us, and so in terms of blip, they will have to be left to imagination and memory.

Today was another indoor day. I just watched a fascinating programme on dreams, and as a vivid dreamer it has got me thinking and analysing. But that is off point, and I may comment on my dreams in the future.

In celebration of those who blip there nearest and dearest animals, I decided to blip my bear snowy. He has been my bear since I was a tot. The story of him coming to me, was that my mum had some petrol station vouchers and on visiting the local petrol station saw these bears lined up. She knew I would love him, and so took me one day to choose anything I wanted, and as mothers intuition goes, I chose him. And at the time of us going, he was the only one left. Over the years he has lost his hat and scarf, and some of the stitching on his mouth, but no worries, he is still perfectly capable of smiling.

To say I'm 23, I think I would be devastated if he was to go. He has been a comfort to me my whole life, and even now my inner child reaches for him at moments of illness, or sad times. This ball of fluff is one of my loyalist companions, and if I were to save anything from my room in event of a fire, it would be him.

The only problem is he is very camera shy, but I managed to capture him just before he knocked the lens away.
