Karuhiruhi

S and I came to the beach house yesterday evening. Daughter C and her two lads were here from earlier in the day, and we are all here for the last weekend of the school holidays.

Although the forecast was for rain the whole weekend the sun came out about midday, and a bit later Young L and I went down to the beach. Brief showers of rain didn't dampen the enjoyment of a walk with my grandson. He paid some attention to the birds, and we got quite close to this Pied Shag (Karuhiruhi). It looked a little edgy (ready to fly away) but did not and was still in the same spot when we returned to get back before what looked like a large cloud of rain approaching reached overhead.
