Dilemma!!

This very old cast iron Victorian fire is where we want to
put the wood burner, the lum chimney doesn't work
any more it is very old and is leaking, if we were to line it
then we have to make a large whole in the wall above the
fire, we would have liked to buy a small burner but for
air flow and safety it needs between 4 to 6" all the way
round. So it looks like the fire will have to go :-((((((((((
We called into the garden centre yesterday to my shock
horror they were playing xmas songs and the place was
full of xmas stuff, I had a bit of a panic attack and just had
to go to the cafe and eat a huge slab of cappuccino cake .
Bloody hell it's not even December!!!!!
