Warmth

This morning dawned wild and windy and 4 degrees celsius here at Lake Tarawera and there was even 
very unseasonal snow on Mt Tarawera for most of the day!
After a morning doing a few tasks at Hermione Cottage I spent a couple of hours this afternoon handstitching the binding to this quilt which I've recently completed.
The sun's out beautifully now , but still a chilly southerly wind . We're promised a starry night and so tomorrow should be perfect conditions for Dr D to spray the neighbourhood lawns and lake front park that you see here, against the Onehunga weed that leaves summer prickles in bare feet!
