Cover from the sky

These trees are so tall and have such skinny tree-trunks.  I'm always amazed at how they are all still standing after some of the winds we've had, underestimating the strength of the roots underground.  The leaves are like a carpet, mottled with the rays of the sun which have managed to poke through the canopy.  Even the simplest of nature is stunning.  I took this after picking up some shopping from the supermarket at the other side of the park from where we live.  I pretty much walk through this park with my head up to the sky, just looking at the tree-tops.
