James Reid of Auchterarder

Now that I am back from holiday, it was back to the sculpture Project.  While I was away a Project Update was issued and I got a special mention which was nice.

This is James Reid of Auchterarder who stands in Springburn Park.  He employed 2,500 workers in the locomotive industry locally and in the 1890s they were building around 200 Locomotives each year.  He was a local benefactor and donated funds to build a bandstand in the park, he was a patron of the arts and donated many fine paintings to the City.
