Cabrespine Cavern
Under overcast skies, we decided to head underground. We headed off to misty mountain Cabrespine, where one of the largest caverns in Europe hides beneath the hill beside the village. Getting there a bit early for the next tour, we had lunch in a local restaurant, where we were befriended by a lovely local lady, originally from Czechoslovakia and apparently also London. Perhaps a bit squiffy and possibly quite unwell, we ended up helping her home up and down some very steep and narrow pathways. Everywhere, there is a story to uncover... Having restored her to her cats, we headed further up the mountain into the lowering clouds.
