Boules in the sun

The boulistes were outside the Mairie this afternoon.  I took a break from the gardening to go for a walk.  I just have one more strip of the courtyard to clear.  I am now researching solutions for permanent weed removal or hard landscaping as the gravel is disappearing into the soil.  Clearing the courtyard is now taking several days to accomplish.  I bought a washing machine from the electrical shop in the village, a bit more expensive but unless it is supported our local reliable and competent electrical sales and repair shop will be put out of business by the grandes surfaces.
