We arrived at the hospital at around 0720. Straight in to my cubicle and saw the nurse and the anesthetist....
It was then the turn of the surgeon ......who told me he couldn't do it today. Yes that's right he couldn't do it today !! There was an Emergency operation required and he was the only surgeon available to do it.
My last words to him were go and save a life ....
C and I waited for the traffic to dissipate then we headed for home. I was asleep by 1015...
The surgeon will ring me next week.
