Allotment Autumn

Back at the allotment this afternoon to finish strimming the grass, looks like one of my dodgier haircuts now. Dug up some tatties as well but the yield isn't great, presumably not enough hose pipe action over the summer although my neighbouring allotmenteer said most folks' were the same. No such problems with the apple trees though so I wandered around and collected a couple of kilos of windfall apples. Think they'll be soon be bound for chutney jars.
Baked the Christmas cake this evening, half an hour to make it and get it ready for the oven then four and a half hours to bake. You can't rush these things.
