Seal sunbathing on Filey Brigg

There are some days to remember for ever. Today was one of them. Beautiful sunshine, incredibly warm for October, and in one of our favourite places : Filey Brigg. My wife Julie, more in hope than expectation, asked if I thought we might see seals today. And when we got to the very end of the Brigg there they were, about 15 of them, sunbathing and singing, sleeping and gazing. I’ll never forget how utterly serene they looked. Wonderful creatures! Julie sang to them (they love music) and they sang back! Such joy, such beauty, so so lucky to have the time and space to witness these fabulous creatures.
