Hey You Pretty Thing...

Today we drove to Kure Beach to visit North Carolina Aquarium.

Look at this chap, isn't he gorgous?   He was brought in damaged, hit by a car, and he isn't ever going to be able to fly.   - Maverick.  Only creatures which aren't going to be returned are named.    That would be a sea turtle, and an albino aligator as well as Maverick.      The sea turtle was happily swimming round and round, but the aligator was off show-  because he was biting some other aligators, and got bit hard back.  Ouch. 

They had a baby Turtle too which is going back to sea soon. Butterflies  - for walking through,,,  Sharks which you could pet.  Weird fossil like crab / lobster things.   It was a very pretty aquarium - i enjoyed our visit there a lot. The staff who were mostly volunteers were all very friendly and knowledgable.  

Outside - they had a dinosaur park and a fossil hunt - check the extra photos :-)      

In the evening we visited Boy's other mum and Dad. S &G who tolerated Boy for like, 2 years.... Boy repayed them by becoming ordained and marrying them.     I was so proud of him, giving his friends the wedding they wanted.   

I had met G briefly before - but hadn't met S, and I understand why Boy wanted to do this for them.  She is one of those people who just radiates love.  They welcomed us into their home like old friends and that is just what they are now.
