Spiny Norman Is No More

Weekly visit to daughter and granddaughters in Doncaster today.

Spotted these spines stuck in our daughter's car tyres. Closer inspection showed they are from a hedgehog. Must have been seriously sharp to stick in like this.

Driving home in the dusk/dark revealed an alarming number of vehicles with no lights on - at least it appeared so until you overtook them - whereupon the front of the vehicle showed the now mandatory, ridiculously bright, LED running lights. It would appear that the drivers are oblivious to the lack of rear lights because the dashboards are brightly lit. No common sense about using headlights at night!

Sorry about the vehicle light rant two days in a row, but it is now beginning to seriously p**s me off. These overbright LEDs really affect your night vision, especially when they are not dimmed correctly for night driving when headlights are switched on! More muppetry…
