Poplars prepare for a storm

On the road all day today so my only photos were through the car window at speed. Wonderful pre-rain build up of cloud and increasingly intense, vivid colours to the landscape and sky. This one was my favourite (and didn't show up how dirty the car windows are)! I liked the lone rooks' nest, too. Unusual - most clumps of trees held multiple nests - but I think the poplar is an unpop'lar choice for rooks. Perhaps it was built by inexperienced newlyweds?
