Paul Bunyan

"The Paul Bunyan statue was commissioned in 1959 by the Kenton Businessmen’s Club for the Oregon Centennial Exposition and International Trade Fair. Standing 31 feet tall, the statue was erected at the corner of N. Interstate (Hwy. 99 W) and N. Denver Avenue to welcome visitors to Oregon’s Centennial."

I've tried for years to even get a photo like this but nothing ever worked out.. Today traffic was bad enough to get this shot. Not something you see every day  ;-)   

A challenging but good day at work... I will never understand why people don't use that grey matter between the ears.. as three cars passed me on the shoulder or in one case, on the sidewalk... sigh.. 

Headed to the Canadian border tomorrow....
