Still Summer!

Shirt and shorts when I went shopping at 730 tonight .... just not right!   A tonne of sand delivered this afternoon and moved down the end of the garden on what must be one of the hottest October days ever here - a good workout.

Crocuses still popping up in pots and around the garden - eye candy in this sunshine :-)   Today's offering is Crocus ilgazensis, a member of the speciosus group.  This one, nicely veined, hails from Ilgaz Dag in Turkey.  Raised from seed fifteen years ago and still going strong.
