Memorial

The beautiful weather made me ride to Hyvinkää to shoot the memorial for the Karelians whose graves were left behind the new borderline in 1944. This one touches me more than most of them. On the left you see a hand holding a broken sword on a relief of the Viipuri Castle. I spent a quiet moment there, contemplating my Karelian roots.
