Hall Cross

I have passed this cross many times and with no blip secured for today I thought I'd check this out.

There are a number of them between Kirkham and Freckleton at a hamlet called Hall Cross and it appears they were simply placed along roads on The Fylde area of Lancashire.

So today I have learned that the crosses on the road between Freckleton and Kirkham serve no real purpose.
